We have been exploring the topic “Our World” this week and the children have enjoyed learning about the cultures and backgrounds of their friends.
Parent participation has been fantastic throughout this topic and we would like to say a BIG thank you to Aimee, Chengtai and Ashianna’s mums who came and shared with the class their cultural backgrounds.
The children really enjoyed learning about “African Talking Drums” which is a traditional communication technique used in Western Africa. It was very noisy and lots of fun as the children sent messages to each other around the room!
After learning about the origins of The Great Wall of China, the children worked as a team to recreate the famous Chinese landmark.
