Dear Parents and Carers,
The morning class have continued to show an interest in holidays and different countries this week. the children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their photos and talking about their holidays with their peers.
In the construction area, the children have been building different types of buildings you might stay in when on holiday. Some creations included hotels, a house, a caravan and a box!
They have also been showing off their creative side this week. They have been very busy making cards for their male relatives and also making their own medals for Sports Day!
Afternoon Provision :
This week we have been discussing different sports from all around the world. We learnt about football, ice hockey, bobsleigh and kabaddi. We have also been using our counting skills to count how many players there are on each team in these sports.
Using different natural objects found our garden, the children have made collages this week. They discussed the texture, the smell and what they could see which was different about each object.
During PE the children have been asking to do gymnastic this week. so each child put on a little display for their friends then we had a go at doing a gymnastic circuit!
We were very lucky this week to be joined by Olympic athlete Eziekiel Ewulo. The children joined in with circuit training led by Eziekiel which they all put their best efforts into. Thank you everybody for their sponsors.
After the children’s interest in showing their holiday photos, a few have asked if they can show their baby photos. So this weeks home learning is to bring in a baby photo and for the children to let us know how much they weighed. we will then continue this by comparing the weights in a maths activity.
Photos of these activities or any other exciting news can be emailed to email@example.com
As you are aware, unfortunately we had to rearrange our Sports Day. It was a very hard decision as we know how hard it can be to arrange time off work. However, we want sports day to be an enjoyable day for everybody so Sports Day will now be on Thursday 20th June. All plans for the day are the same. It is just the date we have had to change. sorry for the inconvenience.
