The yule-tide season is truly upon us and we have been feeling extra festive this week, Merlin class and Yellow class children have been counting down the days to see Father Christmas and finally the day arrived!
We walked through the magical grotto and counted the penguins and polar bears in the wintry landscape !
Then it was time to meet Father Christmas, he read us an exciting Christmas Story and then gave us our gifts!!!
After all that excitement, we looked at the Christmas displays and settled down for a yummy hot chocolate before heading back to school.

Last Wednesday the unit classes joined together to visit Santa in his Ruxley Manor workshop. We all boarded the Ruxley express to make our way to Santa’s home in Lapland. Along the way there were a few surprises. Our first stop was the wintry snowman village where we had a good snowball fight! Next, we made some colourful Christmas tree decorations and then we were able to make our own special reindeer food to be spread on Christmas Eve. Finally, we arrived in Santa’s Grotto. We woke Santa up from his afternoon nap and we used magic to make presents appear from the chimney.
We all had a thoroughly magical trip!
