On Wednesday 13th November, four of Tubbenden’s mathematicians, Daniel, Timur, Kaajana and Hannah, took part in the first round of the National Young Mathematician’s Award at the Explore Learning Centre in Orpington. The children had to work together as a team in a systematic manner to find as many solutions as possible to a challenging problem involving dice. Scoring an impressive 93 out of 100, the children have made it through to the next round of the competition!
If they are successful at the next round, they will be one step closer to the national final at Cambridge University!
