33 Tubbenden Junior pupils entered the Bromley Primary Cross Country Event at Crystal Palace on Saturday 22nd November 2014.
This event, for Junior pupils, is the largest in the UK. All the pupils finished the race, which was tough and extremely muddy! There were over 1,400 children from 56 Primary Schools.
Years 3 and 4 had to run 1.700m. Years 5 and 6 had to run 1.800m.
13 girls from Years 3 and 4 were first off and ran very well. There were over 300 runners in the race. Katie Brash came 12th, which is a remarkable achievement, and was the first competitor from Tubbenden to cross the line.
The Year 3 and 4 boys were next, with over 400 runners in this race.
Next was the turn of the Year 5/6 girls, where we had three runners. Well done girls!
Finally, the Year 5/6 boys. A fantastic race for both Eddie and Tom, coming 5th and 6threspectively.
Thank you to all the parents for their support and encouragement. All participants should be very proud to have run in the largest Primary Schools Cross Country Event in the UK.
