On the 2nd of March (World Book day), Year 1 made some creative models linked to the book the whole school have been reading, The Lost Thing. They really enjoyed using plasticine to invent what they thought was behind the door. They all had different, imaginative, colourful objects that they thought would be at the end of the story. Everyone needed to do something linked to the end of the story and the Year 1 teachers decided to let the children create their own ‘lost thing.’ As a result of this, some chosen children stood up in assembly to share their learning that they worked hard on. From writing to junk-modelling to clay building, the school felt proud of theirselves and each other. The whole school gathered in the Junior hall on Friday to spectate the spectacular work on display.
