Merlin Class went on a school visit to Godstone Farm on Wednesday 8th June 2016.
Godstone Farm is set in a beautiful rural area of Surrey, full of natural sights and sounds.
At the start of our visit, we were greeted by a farmer who took us to a picnic barn.
We enjoyed looking at all the lovely and often funny looking animals!
We then went to meet and feed the pigs. One of them was very grateful and happy to pose for a picture! Oink-oink!!!
We participated in a small animals talk and handling session.
We walked around the farm using a map.
We took some notes about animals that we encountered during our visit.
Then, it was time to play…
Even the staff joined in…
We then went on a dinosaur trail.
We had lunch and then we went on a tractor ride.
We really have enjoyed our visit to Godstone Farm.
The yule-tide season is truly upon us and we have been feeling extra festive this week, Merlin class and Yellow class children have been counting down the days to see Father Christmas and finally the day arrived!
We walked through the magical grotto and counted the penguins and polar bears in the wintry landscape !
Then it was time to meet Father Christmas, he read us an exciting Christmas Story and then gave us our gifts!!!
After all that excitement, we looked at the Christmas displays and settled down for a yummy hot chocolate before heading back to school.
